The World Health Organisation has warned of a new Omicron sub-variant of Covid after hundreds of cases emerged in the UK's latest data.
WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told The Express it was dangerous to assume that the highly transmissible Omicron was the last variant to emerge.
It comes after a sub-variant of Omicron has been formally designated as a “variant under investigation” by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA).
