Who is Tristan Vizcaino?
Vizcaino, the newest Dallas Cowboys kicker, was signed to their practice squad on Wednesday.
After Bret Maher’s historic struggles against the Bucs, Vizcaino was brought in as insurance.
Vizcaino is a California native who was an All-State kicker in high school and then took his talents to Seattle to kick for the Washington Huskies.
Vizcaino went 12-for-19 with a long of 44 yards in his career with the Huskies.
This is not Vizcaino’s first stint with the Cowboys, as he was signed to a reserves/future contract in 2020 but was released shortly thereafter.
Vizcaino has bounced around the NFL for the last four seasons going 11-for-12 with a long of 47 yards and 15-for-20 on PATs.
As of now, it’s unlikely Vizcaino will see the field. However, if Maher’s struggles continue there’s a chance the former Husky could see game action.
