Gianni Infantino is facing a battle to stay afloat as Fifa president after his botched bid to sell off stakes in the World Cup to private investors resulted in a significant loss in support.
Italy has become one of the latest to officially pull their support for Infantino, joining England, Wales and other European nations have led the charge in withdrawing their endorsement of the Swiss-Italian for re-election in March 2027.
