Social influencer Sumner Stroh has claimed that she had an affair with Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine.
Levine has denied the affair but said he “crossed the line”.
Speaking to TMZ, the singer said: “I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner. I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period of my life.
“In certain instances, it became inappropriate. I have addressed that and taken proactive steps to remedy this with my family.”
He went on to say: “My wife and my family is all I care about in this world. To be this naive and stupid enough to risk the only thing that truly matters to me was the greatest mistake I could ever make.
“I will never make it again. I take full responsibility. We will get through it and we will get through it together.”
Levine has been married to his wife, model Behati Prinsloo, since 2014. They have two children together, and Prinsloo is pregnant with their third child.
The Evening Standard has contacted Adam Levine’s representatives for comment and will update this piece if and when we hear back.
Who is Sumner Stroh and what has she said about Adam Levine?
Sumner Stroh is a social-media influencer with more than 370,000 followers on Instagram and more than 380,000 followers on TikTok. She also posts exclusive content on OnlyFans and is signed with Verge Agency.
Stroh studied at the University of Texas at Austin, at Moody College of Communication, graduating with a degree in advertising in 2021.
In a TikTok video that has been viewed 15 million times, Sumner Stroh said: “Essentially, I was having an affair with a man who is married to a Victoria’s Secret supermodel.
“At the time, I was young and naïve. And I mean, quite frankly, I feel exploited. I wasn’t in the scene like I am now, so I was definitely very easily manipulated.”
She went on to say “Maroon 5 is practically elevator music at this point, so I’m sure you know who Adam Levine is.
“Adam and I were seeing each other for about a year.”
Stroh then showed a screenshot of an Instagram message from Levine that said he wanted to name his unborn baby after her, which he allegedly sent months after they stopped talking.
Stroh went on to say: “My morals were unknowingly compromised. I was completely manipulated.
“I never wanted to come forward because I know the implications that come with doing what I do – making money the way I do and being an Instagram model – so being tied to a story like this… I know the stereotypes.”
She explained why she decided to reveal that she allegedly had the affair and said: “I had sent screenshots recklessly to a few friends I trusted and one of them had attempted to sell [them] to a tabloid, so here I am.”
