ITV executives might have found their favourite to replace Holly Willoughby on the sofa for This Morning.
The presenter previously announced that she would be leaving the morning magazine show after 14 years, citing it was “for me and my family”.
She left the ITV show days after a man was charged with solicitation to murder over an alleged plot to kidnap her. Gavin Plumb is set to enter a plea at a hearing next week.
Willoughby’s departure follows that of Philip Schofield, who left in acrimonious circumstances following the revelation that he had been having an affair with a far younger male colleague.
It means that there is a vacancy at one of the top jobs in daytime TV and ITV might have found their woman, it has been reported.

Storm Huntley is reportedly in the frame to replace Willoughby.
ITV has not yet made its decision but has, according to Yahoo, an eye on Huntley.

The 36-year-old Scot is best known for her work on Channel 5, where she currently presents aspects of The Wright Stuff and Jeremy Vine - where she can cover the lead anchor role when the usual host is not around.
Huntley can also be seen covering the final 90 minutes of the show alone as Vine leaves the programme early to present his show on BBC Radio 2.
At the point of celebrating her 100th episode, she wrote on Instagram: “Thank you so much to everyone for watching and everyone who has called the show.”
She is married to LaFontaines singer Kerr Okan with whom she has one child.
Her unusual name was chosen as an electrical storm was brewing on the day of her birth, while her mother had seen it used in the Wilbur Smith novel A Sparrow Falls.
