Simon Cowell is set to tie the knot with long-term partner Lauren Silverman after almost 10 years together.
The 62-year-old music mogul shares his son, Eric, eight, with the 44-year-old American businesswoman. They became engaged over Christmas, after the X Factor creator popped the question in Barbados - where they first met while both on separate holidays.
Lauren's engagement ring is reportedly worth around £2.5m. Alexandra Michell Gemologist Prestige Pawnbrokers of Channel 4 ’s Posh Pawn told MailOnline : "I would estimate this ring is a 15ct oval cut diamond, the stone is a colour D and internally flawless… the best grade on the market."

"I’d estimate the retail value at $3.4million or £2.5 million. This is very classic in style; a single stone on a white gold or platinum band, to really show off the star of the show- the diamond."
Lauren gave birth to their son Eric, named after Simon's father, on February 14, 2014. Fatherhood softened Simon. "People have asked me if I have changed since I have had Eric and of course you do, you can't help it," he told the Daily Mail.
Lauren has another son, Adam, 16, who she shares with her ex husband Andrew Silverman. She split from her ex in 2013.
Lauren Silverman is an American socialite who has kept her life largely private, with no social media accounts either. In the past, Silverman has been photographed by the paparazzi with the likes of Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger, actress Sofia Vergara and supermodel Heidi Klum.
She is the daughter of real estate developers Steven Davis and Carole Eisenberg.
