Shiho Kuwaki is proving herself to be one of the brightest young golfers from Japan and is right in contention at the 2026 AIG Women's Open.

Shiho Kuwaki Facts
1. Kuwaki was born in Okayama City on 29 January, 2003.
2. She began playing golf at the age of four.
3. Kuwaki won two prestigious amateur titles while in high school. Firstly, she won the China Women's Amateur Golf Championship in her third year of junior high school (approximately 14 years old). She then claimed The One' Junior Golf Tournament in her third year of high school (approximately 17 years old).
4. She loves karaoke and her favorite song is "366 Days" by HY.
5. Kuwaki attended Kurashiki University of Science and the Arts in her home prefecture of Okayama.
6. Kuwaki turned professional in June 2021 and joined the LPGA Tour of Japan.
7. Not long after turning pro, she won the JLPTGA Rookies Championship Kaga Electronics Cup.
8. She is known for her distinct fashion sense, which is made by her fashion sponsor Loudmouth Golf.
9. Kuwaki has won six professional titles in her career, with three arriving in 2024 on the JLPGA Tour. The last of those in 2024 was the Japan LPGA Tour Championship Ricoh Cup - a Major on that circuit. Due to her success at the JLPGA Tour Major, Kuwaki was presented with 120kg of Okayama-produced rice and 2kg of Okayama Wagyu beef by JA Group Okayama.
10. In January 2025, she was selected as a designated training player by the Japanese Olympic team alongside the likes of Miyu Yamashita, Yuka Saso and the Iwai sisters.
11. Kuwaki has played in four of the five Majors and enjoyed her best finish in all of them in the same year - 2026. US Women's Open (T14th), KPMG Women's PGA Championship (T24th), Evian Championship (T41st), and AIG Women's Open (Made Cut).
12. According to Kuwaki's JLPGA profile, her blood type is A.
13. In May 2026, Kuwaki recorded an albatross at the Bridgestone Ladies Open on her way to finishing fourth.

14. Prior to the AIG Women's Open, she had earned almost $2.6 million on the JLPGA Tour in her career.
15. Kuwaki is yet to make a hole-in-one as a professional.
16. Her lowest round as a professional is an eight-under 64. Kuwaki has done that three times - most recently at the 2026 Ai Miyazato Suntory Ladies Open, which she won.
