Leeds United will once again begin their search for a new manager for the third time in just five months after parting company with Sam Allardyce. The 68-year-old was on a short term deal until the end of the season but won't be staying at Leeds United who're looking for a long-term approach.
Like any managerial search, there are a few left-field names that have been linked with the vacant position. Lorient manager Regis Le Bris is the latest name to be linked with a move to Elland Road this summer, despite having just one season in professional management.
Reports the Sun linked the 47-year-old former midfielder with Leeds this summer, alongside current Luton Town boss Rob Edwards. Both managers have a relatively short CV but unlike Edwards, we know very little about Le Bris this side of the English Channel.

So who is he and what do we know? Well, Le Bris is the current manager of mid-table Ligue 1 side Lorient and has been in charge since June 2022.
Prior to taking on the job, the Frenchman had no senior managerial experience but had coached for a number of years in the youth set-up across his native country - working at Rennes for eight years in their academy set-up before joining Lorient in 2012. Le Bris has taken up managerial roles with Les Merlus U19s and B team prior to stepping up to the first team.
Out of 40 games in all competitions, his side has won 16, lost 14 and drawn ten prior to their final game of the season against Strasbourg. They could ensure a top-half finish with a win in that game, which would be a considerable improvement on last years campaign where they narrowly avoided relegation to Ligue 2.
A sticking point for Leeds United may be the size of the fee needed to lure the Frenchman away from Lorient, after signing a five-year deal in the summer of 2022. However, Andrea Radrizzani has already shown he's willing to stump up a fee for a manager, but the current ownership entanglement poses questions over the club's willingness to pay a large compensation fee.
