The Jonathan Ross Show is back on our screens tonight (April 8), with the popular host returning for more chat with a host of celebs. ITV’s flagship prime-time talk show sees the broadcaster and comedian joined by some of the biggest names in entertainment.
Jonathan is back for the seventh episode of his twentieth season, airing tonight at 9.50pm on ITV1 and the streaming platform ITVX. He will be joined by stars from the worlds of music, film, TV, and beyond.
But exactly who is joining Jonathan on the show tonight?

On this week’s The Jonathan Ross Show, Jonathan is joined by multi-award-winning singer John Legend, who will discuss celebrating his tenth wedding anniversary to wife Chrissy Teigen, coinciding with the release of his hit record, All of Me, saying: “We’re going to go back to where it all started, Lake Como, we’re going to go back there.
“All of Me, we put out the song that year. So it’s the tenth anniversary of All of Me, too. The first time I sang it live was at our wedding.”
He will add: “I haven’t sung at a lot of weddings. Occasionally… I’m kind of expensive. It’s been played at a lot of weddings.”
Speaking about welcoming their third child, John will say of how his other children have reacted: “They seemed kind of jealous while mummy was pregnant… but since she’s come out, they’ve been so good, competing to see who will be the best older sibling.”
Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas will also be on the show, and will be heard talking about rumours she isn’t returning to the ballroom show. She will say: “Well… I do believe it’s in the process. Is that the right way to say it? Yes.. their people are talking to my people.”
Speaking about touring recently with the show, Shirley will say: “It was an amazing experience. Anton Du Beke was on it this time – that man is so funny. He comes across as the perfect gentleman, but he’s very naughty behind the scenes.

“He came to my dressing room [and] I had my big girl Marks & Spencer knickers out. The next thing I know, we’re on set and he pulled them out of his top pocket and started to wipe his head with them… good job they were clean, eh?”
Actor Jeff Goldblum will Jonathan and will speak about whether his kids know what he does, which includes filming the two upcoming Wicked films. He will be heard saying: “I don’t think so. Who knows what they’re thinking of or what they become aware of?
“I did this dinosaur [shoot] recently here in Pinewood Studios. We brought them to the studio, they saw me in scenes… they sort of know what that is.
“They are natural actors, they really are. I don’t remember playing all day and having that wild imagination they seem to.”
Jeff adds: “We keep them away from screens mostly. We’ve shown them some Chaplin shorts.”
During the show Jeff – who says he has been learning piano since he was 10-years-old – will play Moon River alongside The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, from his latest EP released last month.
Comedian and The 1% Club host Lee Mack will also be on the show where he will Lee will talk about the hit ITV1 quiz returning and explain how he took his surname from a family member: “I did a couple of gigs, told my gran and she said, ‘Like your great grandad.’ [He used the stage name] Billy Mack, I knew nothing about this [until then].”
Speaking about strange fan encounters, Lee will say: “I was once asked to sign somebody’s breast. I got the pen, it was very awkward, I went to sign, the pen didn’t work. Without thinking, on the other breast, I scribbled…”
Rounding off this week’s stellar line-up is comedian Jack Whitehall, who will discuss returning to the stage for a stand-up tour, based on the fact he’s settling down in his own life. He will say: “I would say, reluctantly, I’m attempting to adult.
“I’m 34, I don’t think of that as young. I wouldn’t get on Love Island anymore… I think I would have been great until the kit came off.”
He will continue: “To be honest, I hadn’t done stand-up for a while, I’d been doing lots of films and been stuck on set. I love doing stand-up so much. I felt like I had stuff to talk about again. Before I knew it I’d written an hour and I’m off on tour.”
Speaking about his girlfriend’s family being in the audience, he will explain: “I had some routines about my girlfriend, but then I remembered her family were in the audience. I pulled out a couple [of jokes] as I got too nervous… I saw her family and gave up halfway through the joke.”
Of continuing his work in films, Jack will add: “Hopefully they’re going to do a Clifford the Big Red Dog 2, which I’ll be asked back to. Jungle Cruise 2 as well.”
The Jonathan Ross Show airs tonight at 9.50pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
