Former Louisiana mayor Misty Roberts, 43, was found guilty in a DeRidder courtroom on Tuesday, 3 March, of having sex with her teenage son's 16‑year‑old friend at a house party in 2024, and her lawyer now says the ex‑official feels 'very, very disappointed' rather than remorseful as she awaits sentencing that could see her jailed for up to 17 years.

After the guilty verdict, her lawyer Todd Clemons spoke to local media and made clear there would be no contrition from his client.
