The apparent announcement emerged during what appeared to be a FaceTime call between Lil Wayne and B.G.
Wayne initially congratulated his fellow rapper before turning the camera towards Cannon, who stood behind his shoulder.
'And I'm marrying this one, this is Madison,' Wayne said.
Cannon then offered her own congratulations to B.G., before Wayne added: 'This is my fiancée.'
Wayne continued by asking B.G. to tell them what colour they would be wearing for his wedding and declared that he would serve as the best man. B.G. later captioned the Instagram post, 'My lil Brodie gave me his blessings @liltunechi.'
He did not separately address Wayne's apparent engagement to Cannon in the caption.
Lil Wayne Publicly Denied Engagement Reports Before
Wayne's remarks are particularly notable because they come months after he publicly denied a previous report claiming that he was engaged. During a livestream in July, the rapper directly addressed speculation surrounding his relationship status.
'I would like to clear something up,' Wayne said. 'No, I'm not engaged.'
He explained that he had been involved with someone he described as 'an amazing person,' but said the relationship had ended.
'I had a beautiful thing going on with an amazing person, but, obviously, due to the validity of the temperature of today's crazy world and culture, I considered, I don't want to be such a burden on such an amazing person,' he said.
Wayne added: 'So, we decided to part. Sucks.'
