Who is Love Island's Ikenna Ekwonna from Nottingham who embarked on journey to find love

The much-anticipated ITV show Love Island is back. It is the Brits' favourite series where eleven singletons will enter the villa on Monday (June 6) in hope to find love.

There will be five women and six men embarking on the adventure which will take place in a luxury Majorcan villa. Before the show officially kicks off, the first wave of contestant have already been announced.

This year, Nottingham will have its very own contestant on his journey to find true love. It is Ikenna Ekwonna, a 23-year-old pharmaceutical salesperson from Nottingham.

Ahead of the show, Love Island fans had a chance to learn more about the cast through recorded interviews with the contestants. When asked what his favourite part on a girl is, Ikenna went on and said: "The bunds. I need something to put my head on, to rest."

He has been single for the three years, describing his love life as "turbulent". The singleton also said he finds it difficult to commit to one person, and admits that on a night out, "things can get a bit messy".

Ikenna revealed that his record is "around 15, 20 girls in one night". Overall, he said he is "excited" and "cannot wait to meet the girls".

The athletic contestant considers himself competitive, saying he is not afraid to step on people's toes if he has to. His looks grabbed the crew's attention as he reportedly said that he was 'plucked from the street' while on a trip in London.

"It was the first time I was in London this year - and that was the first time in London for a while. I was up there for a friend's birthday and we were in Shoreditch Boxpark and I was approached there actually", he said.

The contestant has a second Instagram account as a personal coach. According to his social media, Ikenna successfully graduated from Nottingham Trent University with an upper second class (2:1) in Biomedical Sciences earlier this year in April.
