Liverpool have agreed a deal for talented Scottish full-back Calvin Ramsay, who will join the Reds from Aberdeen.
The Reds are set to pay an initial £4m for Ramsay, with a further £1.5m potentially heading to Aberdeen as part of appearance related bonus clauses.
The 18-year-old has made 40 appearances for the Dons in all competitions ever since breaking into the first-team in March 2021.
Here's what else we know about the teenager who is set to provide right-back cover for Reds star Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Who is Calvin Ramsay?
Born on July 31, 2003, Ramsay is a Scottish footballer who plays for Aberdeen as a right back.
The 18-year-old has come through the youth system at Pittodrie since joining the ranks in 2012 and broke into the first team towards the back end of the 2020-21 season as the Dons finished 4th in the Scottish Premier League.
Ramsay has also graduated through the ranks of the Scottish national team and has already played for the under 16s and under 17s, before becoming an established member of the under 21s last year, making three competitive appearances so far for Scot Gemmill’s side.
Following his breakthrough into the Aberdeen first team and becoming first-choice right-back, Ramsay attracted plenty of attention this campaign, and along with Liverpool, had been linked with moves to the likes of Leeds United, Leicester City, Manchester United, Newcastle and Tottenham, and even Serie A side Bologna.

His career to date...
At just 18, Ramsay has already racked up 40 appearances for Aberdeen since making his debut in March 2021, which came as a late substitute in a 1-0 defeat against Dundee United.
The right-back made a further five appearances in all competitions for the remainder of the season, as he made his breakthrough into the first team.
Ramsay then established himself as first-choice right-back for 2021-22, making 33 appearances in all competitions, scoring once and providing nine assists for the Dons.
He made his European debut in a 5-1 victory over Swedish side BK Hacken back in July in a UEFA Europa Conference League qualifier, starting at right-back and assisting his side’s first goal.
Aberdeen endured a tough season in the SPL and found themselves near the bottom of the table, eventually finishing 10th, but Ramsay was one of few shining lights.
He delivered some inspiring performances that really showcased his natural talent, and further highlighted why he is attracting the attention of so many big clubs.
The youngster recently picked up the Scottish Football Writers' Young Player of the Year award, and joins Fabio Carvalho and Darwin Nunez in the Reds' ranks this summer.
What's been said about him?
A report by Goal.com earlier this year described Ramsay as reminiscent of Trent Alexander-Arnold and went into depth over his qualities, saying: "Ramsay's most obvious qualities are those he provides going forwards.
"His distribution is excellent over a variety of ranges, he is a strong set-piece taker and his willingness to attack opposing defenders is more reminiscent of a winger than a full-back."
Meanwhile, Aberdeen boss Jim Goodwin revealed on April 19 that he is prepared to lose Ramsay as one of two players attracting interest this summer.
"There are a lot of clubs out there that are looking at those two players in particular," he said.
"I couldn’t tell you right now that those players definitely won’t be leaving in the summer."
