Leeds United are reportedly set to add Paco Gallardo to Jesse Marsch's coaching staff, according to reports. Marsch hinted last week that the club could look to provide him with some extra to support and it appears as though Gallardo could be that man.
It is said that Gallardo is set to come in and provide the link between the club's U21s side and first team, helping young players make that final step from youth to senior football. With an abundance of talent currently on the books at Thorp Arch, he could prove to be a vital appointment in terms of Leeds' long-term success.
That said, it is probably fair to say that until today, Gallardo is certainly a name not so familiar with Leeds supporters. So, with that in mind, here is a more in-depth look into Leeds' potential new coach.

Who is Paco Gallardo?
Gallardo is a 42-year-old who almost immediately went straight into coaching after hanging up his boots in 2014. He spent the vast majority of his playing days in his native Spain, with his most successful period coming during his time at Sevilla, where he made over 100 appearances.
It is at that same club where Gallardo has also spent the entirety of his coaching career so far. He worked with the youth side, C team and B team until his departure in October 2021.
It was under Gallardo's tenure that Sevilla Atletico (Sevilla B) were promoted to the Primera RFEF in the 2020/21 season.
What has been said about Paco Gallardo?
After guiding the B team to promotion, then-Sevilla manager Julen Lopetegui praised the work of Gallardo with the club's young players, something which bodes well for if he does end up at Leeds.
He said: "We were all watching the game and we are delighted for the Club, for Paco Gallardo and for the boys. It's important to be in that league for their development. They have done a great job with young players and they deserve to be congratulated."
