A new thriller called The Control Room airs on BBC One tonight. The three-part series is written by Nick Leather, who also wrote Murdered for Being Different.
The Control Room will be shown over three consecutive nights starting from 9pm tonight. Each episode will be an hour long and focusses on Gabe, who's life changes when he gets a mysterious call from a woman who seems to know him.
The series is directed by Amy Neil, who’s known for Call the Midwife and Trust Me. The cast is also full with familiar families, here’s everything you need to know.

Gabe - Iain De Caestecker
Caestecker is a Scottish actor, who portrays introverted lead character Gabe. The 34-year-old actor is known for his roles in the films Shell, In Fear, Not Another Happy Ending, Lost River, and Overlord. From 2013 to 2020, he portrayed Leopold Fitz/The Doctor in the television series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Speaking about the new series, Iain said 'I would say it’s one of the most exciting scripts I’ve ever read and it was a page turner from start to finish. I just had to know how it ended.'
Sam - Joanna Vanderham
Joanna Vanderham plays fiery Sam in The Control Room. The 31-year-old is best known for Sky’s crime drama The Runaway (2011), for which she was nominated for an International Emmy Award.
Joanna describes her character Sam as an 'incredibly fiery, damaged woman who gets caught up in something much bigger than her.'
Breck - Sharon Rooney
Sharon Rooney plays leading detective investigator DI Anna Beck. The 33-year-old rose to fame as Rae Earl in My Mad Fat Diary and has also acted in Two Doors Down, Dawn in Brief Encounters and Miss Antantis.
Leigh - Taj Atwal
Taj Atwal plays duty manager Leigh in The Control Room. Viewers may recognise her from Line of Duty, Stella, In the Club, The Syndicate and Hullraisers.
Anthony - Daniel Portman
Daniel Portman plays supervisor Anthony in The Control Room. He is best known for playing the role of Podrick Payne in Game of Thrones, as well as Vigil.

What is the new series about?
The new BBC series follows Gabe, who works as an emergency call handler for the Scottish Ambulance Service in Glasgow. An interesting day at work sees him receive a strange, desperate call from a woman who seems to know him.
