Who Is Dylan Frittelli's Caddie?

Dylan Frittelli and Jason Palmer.

Since turning professional in 2012, South African Dylan Frittelli has used a number of caddies, with arguably his greatest success - victory at the 2019 John Deere Classic - coming with John Curtis on his bag.

Since that PGA Tour victory, Fritelli has been seen with several other caddies, with the likes of Philip Lowe and Samuel Hartley alongside him at various points.

Despite the changes, Frittelli, who also won the DP World Tour's Lyoness Open and AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open in 2017, endured a long period before picking up another title, finally clinching the Bahrain Championship in 2024 for his third DP World Tour win.

On that occasion, Shane Koeries caddied for Frittelli, but more recently, he has been seen working alongside Jason Palmer.

The Englishman used to be a professional golfer too, having played on the Challenge Tour (now the HotelPlanner Tour) for several seasons, picking up victory at the 2014 Foshan Open, before competing on the European Tour in 2015.

Sadly for Palmer, who also played in the 2015 US Open and was known for his one-handed chipping, in early 2018, he was forced to call time on his professional career due to a wrist injury.

On making the announcement, he revealed he had accepted a job in the betting industry, but he returned to the DP World Tour in 2019 as Chris Paisley’s caddie after receiving the offer of the role from him via text.

There's an irony in Palmer's current career choice, as, when he was a player, he didn't even have a caddie of his own until graduating to the DP World Tour, when it became a requirement.

Even then, as he explained to National Club Golfer, "I wanted nothing from my caddie. I just wanted a bag carrier and someone I could talk to and have a laugh with."

After further spells with players including Richie Ramsay, David Horsey, Mark Hubbard and Maximilian Kieffer, Palmer linked up with Frittelli, with the pair forging a promising partnership, including at the 2026 Dubai Invitational, where the player was just two shots behind leader Nacho Elvira with a round to play.
