Coronation Street killer Stephen Reid will drown a character in upcoming scenes, The Mirror exclusively revealed earlier this month.
The news has got viewers speculating who his third victim will be. Stephen first killed a character in September last year when he murdered Leo Thompkins, who had discovered his money lies.
Just months later, Stephen struck again in January when he murdered Leo's dad Teddy over his suspicions about Leo's disappearance.
In upcoming scenes, Stephen will kill again and there are a number of characters who could meet a grisly end. We take a look at the likely suspects...
Rufus Donahue
A likely murder victim would be Rufus, Stephen's current business client, as he has a lot of information about the baddie.
While Rufus doesn't know Stephen is a killer, he does know how far he would go to get his own way.
Rufus recently blackmailed Stephen to give him the sole rights to the new fashion line at the factory, which Stephen had initially secured a deal with an American client for.
He knows that Stephen has been drugging factory boss Carla Connor and threatened to expose this - so will Stephen be forced to cover his tracks once again?
Carla Connor
Stephen has made an enemy in Carla, leading to deadly scenes recently.
As well as drugging Carla with LSD for weeks, he nearly killed her when he snuck into her flat as she slept, and turned the grill on.
In his bid to make Carla seem too unwell mentally to run the factory, wanting it for himself, will he go one step further and kill her?
Michael Bailey
Another possible victim is Stephen's colleague Michael, who helped work on the designs that secured them the big money contract.
Michael becomes suspicious over Stephen when he uncovers his lies about the American company pulling out of their deal.
He soon confronts the villain about his lies and tries to get the client back on side, but will it lead to Stephen wanting him out the way?
Elaine Jones
Another possible victim is his partner Elaine, who is unaware she is being used by schemer Stephen for her money.
Stephen convinced her to lend him thousands of pounds recently for his business, when he was actually trying to sort his debt.
He accidentally proposed to her, too, despite not even liking her – but could Elaine realise she is being played and confront him?
If Elaine does learn the truth about the money and his plans, he would certainly want her dead.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITV X.
