Celebrity MasterChef is now into its third week. So far, a host of famous faces have taken to the kitchen hoping to impress John and Greg with their culinary skill.
This week drag artist Cheryl Hole, actor, singer and songwriter Jamelia, musician Locksmith, singer and former glamour model Sam Fox and opera singer and broadcaster Wynne Evans are in the penultimate heat.
Hole has made memorable appearances in two editions of RuPaul’s Drag Race. “Going into the Werk Room on Drag Race and walking into MasterChef was a very similar experience," she said.
ââ"You’re transported to that thing that you watch on TV and suddenly I’m in there. It’s a very surreal experience but you have to snap back to reality and remind yourself you’ve got a task to do."
But who is Cheryl Hole? Here is everything you need to know
Who is Cheryl Hole?
Hole, whose real name is Luke Underwood-Bleach, was one of 10 queens to take part in the first ever season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK in 2019.
Her act is based on former Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole. In episode 6, she did her lip sync to Cheryl’s Call My Name in front of guest judge Cheryl. She then made it to week seven of the competition, coming fourth.
Since then, Hole has made several appearances and explored other ventures. In December 2019, she was unveiled as Virgin Media’s Christmas fairy gift mother for its Christmas campaign giving gift and surprises to Virgin Media customers.
She also started a podcast in July 2020, called Girl Group Gossip where she is joined by a co-host and a special guest related to the topic of that episode.
In September 2021, Cheryl Hole got married to her partner Haydn – their last names were then double barrelled to Underwood-Bleach
Then, in 2022, she was announced as a contestant in RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs the World, a spin-off series in which former competitors from the UK edition of the show go up against drag queens who had previously featured on international editions of the show.
She was the second queen to be eliminated, after being beaten in the lip-sync by Janey Jacké.
Hole has also starred in West End play Death Drop, her theatre debut.
