If you’re wondering: Yes, Iowa superstar Caitlin Clark is dating someone, and he’s got a tie to Iowa hoops.
She’s dating Connor McCaffery, the former Iowa guard who also happens to be the son of Hawkeyes men’s hoops coach Fran McCaffery. And per the Des Moines Register in 2023, he joined the NBA’s Indiana Pacers to do entry-level work as a team assistant, with the hope he can coach someday.

“I’ll play dummy defense, run the scout team, help coaches on film stuff, help on video projects if they need, scouting reports if they need,” McCaffery told the paper. “It’s kind of all-hands on deck, whatever you’re asked to do, be ready to do it.”
He and Clark have posted a bunch of times on Instagram, including the two below — he posted a lovely message to her on her birthday in January:
