There are now just days to go until Beyonce arrives in Sunderland on her Renaissance tour and one of the big questions on fans' lips is - does she have a support act?
The singer and icon who has given the world anthems like Crazy in Love, Single Ladies and recent smash Break My Soul, was last on Wearside with her Formation tour in 2016, hot on the heels of her powerful album Lemonade, which featured tracks like Freedom, Hold Up and Daddy Lessons.
Just like Lemonade, Renaissance sparked an instant reaction from fans, with lovers of Queen B lapping up songs like Alien Superstar and Cuff It and now tens of thousands of ticket holders are looking forward to seeing Beyonce perform them in the flesh at the Stadium of Light on May 23. There are some tickets still left for Beyonce in Sunderland on Ticketmaster, with standing seats and Gold Circle all still available.
Having launched the tour in Sweden last week, Beyonce kicked off the UK leg in Cardiff on Wednesday, May 17, with the Renaissance tour setlist causing a bit of a stir, due to classics like Halo, If I Were A Boy and Single Ladies all failing to make the cut.
There are 40 songs on the setlist, meaning fans will get to see plenty of their idol, but the big question is - does she have a support act?
Who is supporting Beyonce on the Renaissance tour in Sunderland?
Just like in 2016 on the Formation tour, there will be no support act for the May 23 gig in Sunderland.
Instead, with 40 tracks to get through, Beyonce fans look set to get a near three hour show from the music megastar, with her taking to the stage around 8pm.
The show is split into different sections: Opening Act, Renaissance, Motherboard, Opulence, Anointed, Anointed part 2 and Mind Control.
