Anita Bishnoi, a 32-year-old social media influencer from Jodhpur is fighting for her life after allegedly consuming poison during an Instagram Live session on Wednesday. Anita Dinram Bishnoi, who recently went viral for her remarks on women's clothing, was admitted to Mathuradas Mathur (MDM) Hospital in critical condition. The incident comes after days of online controversy, trolling, and alleged harassment linked to her social media content.

According to reports, the incident took place around 11:30 am at Godaron Ki Dhani near Balaji Farm House in Shikargarh, Jodhpur.

Before the incident, Bishnoi reportedly shared several posts claiming that she had been facing continuous trolling and online harassment. During a video message posted shortly beforehand, she named several individuals and accused them of targeting her, damaging her reputation, and threatening her.

She also referred to a land dispute and alleged that tensions surrounding the matter had escalated in recent weeks.

Shortly before the incident, she posted a message on Facebook that read: "After today, your sister will no longer be seen in this world.”

Reports suggest that nearly 1,300 people were watching the Instagram Live session when she allegedly consumed poison. The video has since spread widely across social media platforms.

Police have started investigating the matter.

Who Is Anita Dinram Bishnoi?

Anita Dinram Bishnoi is a Jodhpur-based content creator who shares videos on Instagram and YouTube. She is known for posting content related to Rajasthani culture, social issues, and public awareness.

Over time, she built a sizeable online presence and currently has more than six lakh followers on Instagram.

Her popularity grew significantly in recent weeks after a video discussing women's clothing choices gained attention online. In the clip, she said, "If clothes become shorter, where will modesty come from?"

The remark triggered a sharp debate on social media, with some users supporting her views while many others criticised her comments.

Husband Claims She Faced Online Harassment

Bishnoi's husband, Dinaram, has alleged that she was under severe stress due to online attacks from several influencers and social media users.

According to him, Anita had been receiving criticism and threatening messages after her controversial video gained traction online. He claimed that some people deliberately targeted her and continued to harass her on social media and messaging platforms.

Dinaram said he had wanted to file a police complaint regarding the threats, but Anita was not willing to do so. Recalling her response, he said she told him, "I am not afraid of anyone."

He said he was away from home when the incident occurred and rushed back after learning about her concerning social media posts. However, by the time he arrived, she had already allegedly consumed poison.

Investigation Underway

As the video continues to circulate online, authorities are examining the circumstances leading up to the incident. Investigators are expected to review social media activity, statements made before the incident, and the allegations raised by Bishnoi and her family.

The case has once again drawn attention to the impact of online trolling, public scrutiny, and social media conflicts on content creators who find themselves at the centre of viral controversies.
