This article contains MasterChef Australia 2026 spoilers. Proceed with caution.
MasterChef Australia 2026 has gone back to its OG roots, with the country’s home cooks auditioning for a white apron before kicking off the culinary cook-off for the year.
And after three rounds of cooking, baking, and anything you can do in the kitchen, MasterChef Australia ~finally~ has its 24 cooks for this year’s season.

But now, since we’ve got the lineup, eliminations are about to start…
So, to keep you updated, here’s everyone who’s been eliminated from MasterChef Australia so far.
Who’s been eliminated from MasterChef Australia 2026?
Episode 16 — Sunday, May 17
Tonight’s Mystery Box challenge, spearheaded by culinary legend Rick Stein, didn’t see any eliminations, but four contestants were safe from tomorrow’s chopping block.
Casper, Miin, Grace and Alyona were all saved by their mystery box dishes!

Episode 15 — Wednesday, May 13
Skipping to episode 15, we didn’t get an elimination. BUT we did get our first immunity pin for this year’s season.
In this immunity pin challenge, contestants were tasked with creating a unique sanga with a smexy cross-section under the guidance of MasterChef Australia alum and social media star Khanh Ong.
In this challenge, Jackie — who created a Bulgogi Philly Cheesesteak sandwich — won the first immunity pin. Huzzah!

Episode 13 — Monday, May 11
In this elimination challenge, our contestants were tasked with creating a meal using one of Victoria Minell‘s five viral ingredients within 75 minutes.
After dishing up lasagna dumplings, which produced a ~unique~ taste, Alita was the one on the chopping block.

Episode 11 — Wednesday, May 6
To round out Family Week, our bottom six contestants were tasked with cooking up a dish that represents their family food traditions.
Unfortunately, for Bella, the judges found a multitude of errors in her Apple and Cinnamon Entremet. As a result, she was sent home.

Episode Ten — Tuesday, May 5
Unfortunately, in this first team challenge, it was the Pink and Navy team both up for elimination.
As a result, Pat, Lydia, Olaolu, Bella, Aliana and Hannah will be cooking for their spot in the comp in tomorrow’s elimination challenge.

Episode Nine — Monday, May 4
In this elimination task, our contestants were challenged to cook up a dinner within 30 minutes with a quick carb, curated by our judges.
After serving up a smash burger on Andy Allen‘s flatbread, which lacked in caramelisation of the beef, Belinda was sent home.

Episode Seven — Wednesday, April 29
In this Maggie Beer pressure test, our bottom five were tasked with creating a delicious pie from scratch.
Unfortunately, after dishing up a Hong Kong-style pie with an undercooked crust, Jeff became the second contestant to be chopped from this year’s competition.

Episode Six — Tuesday, April 28
After failing to impress the judges with the invention test dish — where they had to reinvent the humble brekky staple, cereal — Vinnie, Pat, Jackie, Jeff and Luke were sent to the bottom five.
As a result, the five of them will be battling out in an elimination task tomorrow night with guest judge Maggie Beer.

Episode Five — Monday, April 27
In this elimination challenge, our contestants were asked to create a dish that would transport our judges home. As Sofia Levin said, “home is where the heart is”.
Unfortunately, both Megs and Jackie were in the bottom two.

Ultimately, because of her undercooked prawns, Megs was sent home.
