England will play France in the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar after beating Senegal 3-0 in their last-16 clash.
The match will take place at 7pm GMT on December 10 at the Al Bayt Stadium.
Jordan Henderson opened the scoring for the Three Lions against the AFCON champions on Sunday night before Harry Kane made it two just before the half-time break. Bukayo Saka put the cherry on the icing on the hour mark to set up a last-8 clash with Les Bleus.
Kane said ahead of the quarter-final with France: "We enjoy this one but our attention turns straight to that, it's going to be a great game. They're reigning champions, it'll be a good battle, we recover now and get ready for the next game."
France booked their place in the last-8 with a 3-1 win over Poland earlier on Sunday. Olivier Giroud and Kylian Mbappe (twice) were on the scoresheet in a routine victory for Les Bleus with Robert Lewandowski netting a late consolation from the penalty spot.
AC Milan star Giroud's effort, which came just before half-time, was his 52nd for his country, taking him one above Thierry Henry, and making him the all-time leading scorer for the France national team.
Mbappe's first effort came 15 minutes before the end of the encounter and effectively determined the tie but he popped up again in stoppage time just to make sure. Lewandowski's spot-kick goal, which he missed initially before retaking the penalty, came with the final kick of the contest.
England qualified for the knockout stages after winning Group B following wins over Iran and Wales and a goalless draw with the United States, who also progressed to the round of 16.
Southgate shuffled his pack for Senegal and dropped the in-form Marcus Rashford for Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka.
Saka started England's win over Iran, where he chipped in with two goals, and was named in the first XI for the draw with USA. He was then dropped for the win over Wales, with Rashford - who didn't start the Iran match but did the USA game - in the first XI against Rob Page's side.
Rashford played the game of his life in an England shirt in the final group game, getting on the scoresheet twice - either side of a Phil Foden goal - as the Three Lions ran out comfortable winners over their British rivals.
Southgate was confident his England team was prepared for anything Senegal may throw at them in the last-16 on Sunday and he was proven right with the Three Lions putting in a strong display.
