IF Scots had the choice over their head of state and could democratically elect them - who would you choose?
With King Charles's coronation looming, and a rise of Republican protests at royal events, The National want to hear your views on who would be a popular choice to take on the role of an independent Scotland's first president.
We have already taken readers through whether or not Scots supports keeping a monarchy, and how popular the royal family are in Scotland, so now we want your input.
Should it be a celebrity, like Andy Murray, who is popular across the globe?
Or should it be a former politician, one who might be tempted back into the spotlight?
Or someone completely different - we want to hear your ideas.
Please let us know in the box below, and we will collate your suggestions as part of our weekend coverage.
We will be closing the ballot at 5pm on Friday, so make sure to get your suggestions in to take part.
