Whitney Leavitt is leaving The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, she announced during her final performance in Chicago on Broadway Sunday.
The Hulu reality series is currently embroiled in drama amid an alleged domestic violence incident involving stars Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex, Dakota Mortensen.
In video footage obtained by TMZ, Leavitt was shown on stage reading a note announcing her departure from the show. Her representatives have since confirmed her exit to multiple outlets.
Since starring SLOMW, which follows a group of Mormon momfluencers caught in the midst of a swinging sex scandal, Leavitt has gone on to compete on Dancing With The Stars — finishing as a semi-finalist last year — before landing her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in Chicago.
“I’ve always loved the entertainment industry,” Leavitt, 32, said in an interview with running influencer Kate Mackz last year, adding that she grew up participating in theater, dancing, and singing.

She then confessed: “I’m not a great singer, though, so I’m in the ensemble for those!”
Leavitt is also set to make her film debut in a holiday rom-com titled All For Love that she’s also executive producing later this year. She plays Winona, a podcaster who unknowingly falls for the rugged renovator (Jesse Kove) repairing her grandmother's Christmas venue.
The news of Leavitt’s exit comes as Paul and Mortensen have been in court in Utah last week. The pair were granted mutual three-year protective orders against one another.
Third District Court Commissioner Russell Minas did not decide the custody of their son, Ever. He said parenting time will remain the same, but he will make a recommendation on any changes on or before May 11 and schedule a review for June.
The protective orders mean they must not contact each other, and must remain at least 100 feet (30 meters) away from each other. Both parties had alleged incidents of domestic violence.
Eleven fights between the exes were under examination in their protective order requests. A recently leaked video of one fight from 2023 prompted ABC to make the unprecedented move last month of shelving an already-filmed season of The Bachelorette starring Paul as the lead. Hulu also paused production of SLOMW and resumed filming last month.
In the video, Paul appeared to punch, kick and throw chairs at Mortensen while her daughter watched and cried. Paul was charged with aggravated assault and other offenses, including domestic violence in the presence of a child. The police body camera footage of her arrest was featured in the first season of the Hulu series.
Paul pleaded guilty to an assault charge, which will be reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor if she stays out of legal trouble for a three-year probationary period that ends in August. The other counts were dismissed.
