Whitley Bay Water Park is temporarily closed after a number of visitors raised concerns about children slipping.
North Tyneside Council has confirmed that they received a number of comments from concerned visitors about the surface being too slippery on Thursday.
It's been reported that surfaces in the water park had become hazardous leading to a number of children slipping and falling. The council has confirmed that following an investigation, they found that some sections needed to be resurfaced to provide better grip.
