National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan is set to meet with the families of Americans believed to have been taken hostage by Hamas, as the United States continues its efforts to secure their release. The U.S. government is aware of six Americans who are still in captivity in Gaza, with four others having been previously released.
Among those recently freed from captivity are Sharon Cuneo and her twin three-year-old daughters, who were held by Hamas. Even though they are now physically safe, the trauma of their ordeal continues to haunt them. Sharon fears for her husband, who remains in captivity. She shared her emotional journey, expressing the constant pain and anxiety she experiences on a daily basis.
