Whining Rangers pundits are suffering a painful Celtic awakening and it's hilarious to watch - Hotline

Rangers couldn’t handle the heat in the Parkhead kitchen but Ibrox legions are hoping Aaron Ramsey can help rediscover the winning recipe.

But some light blue legions have a novel idea for adding some much needed spice on the back of an Old Firm cooking.

Neil Renton, Edinburgh, said: “Instead of Aaron Ramsey Rangers should have signed Gordon Ramsey. At least they would have had someone in their team with a bit of passion and fight.”

John Bruce emailed: “Fair play to Celtic, and worryingly for Rangers fans, they wanted the victory more on Wednesday night and fully deserved their win.

“You could see just how much their first victory over champions Rangers in almost two-and-a-half years meant to the Celtic players.

“If only the Rangers players had put half as much effort in to the game as the Celtic players did in to celebrating winning three points, it might have been a different game.”

Celtic fans are still feasting on the win – and revelling in some of the Rangers excuses.

Tam Bareen, via email, said: “Is it true Celtic are going to name one of the stands after the two ball Bhoys?”

Richard Wharton emailed: “Why is it there is always an inquiry when something goes against Rangers? The initial collision was not an obvious head injury. Hatate put the ball in the net less than ten seconds after the collision.”

Gordon Ashley, Ayr, said: “I don’t remember Neil McCann or Kris Boyd moaning when Callum McGregor was lying on the park with a head knock for about two minutes with play raging on.

“Their whining is hilarious as they slowly realise that this Celtic team is on another level to theirs and that their new manager is a major downgrade.”

But Eddie Easson, Ballingry , said: “No doubt the usual suspects will be firing in their excuse for Rangers dismal performance.

“Not stopping play at the so called head knock. From the clearing header to the ball hitting took 4 seconds. Of course the goal stands.

“Then the objection to the ball boys not throwing the ball back to Rangers fast enough. The truth be known they didn't want the ball back they knew what was coming next.”

Gio van Bronckhorst is already in the firing line and Dr Robert S Pender emailed: “I hope van Bronckhorst drops the captain and plays the new right back with young Bassey on the left.

“Central defenders will always toil when full backs don’t do the basics.

“Tavernier is very weak as a defender and Barisic a scared rabbit with 90 percent of his touches pass backs.”

Back to the Hoops and David Bryce, Troon, said: “The outstanding Old Firm debuts from Matt O'Reilly and Reo Hatate rightly hog the headlines however Wednesday was the night in which Starfelt, Taylor and Juranovic arrived as Celtic players. Carter Vickers is the best centre half we’ve had since van Dijk.”

Paul Price said: “Normal service has resumed – another treble. Look forward to hearing from Rangers in another nine years.”

There was still some Gers defiance though.

Gordon Hendry, Ochiltree, said: “Celtic battered us in the first half and thoroughly deserved their three goal lead.

"However, for some of my Celtic pals to say the league is now done and dusted, I think it is a bit premature.

“Let's see who has the bragging rights come the end of the season, Have they forgotten that they have still to come to Ibrox and they are only one point in front?”

Alfie Mullin, London, said: “You've got to give credit where credit is due and allow Celtic their day in the sun. But id Celtic fans think that means they are going to win the league, they should think again.

“Dominating for 45 minutes out of the last 810 minutes they have played against Rangers, is no big deal. Rangers will retain their title.”
