Which Stearns & Foster mattress should you buy in the 4th of July sales? I'm a sleep writer, here's my take

Mattress sale events are an excellent time to invest in a new luxury mattress, with leading brands offering large reductions on their best-selling beds. To mark Independence Day, luxury bed-maker Stearns & Foster are offering an epic $700 worth of savings on their mattresses — and I’ve rounded up three of their best beds to buy this 4th of July.

After testing and reviewing the year’s best mattresses, we know that the best bed for you will be one that meets your specific sleep needs and won’t necessarily be the most expensive bed on the market. But while you can expect to pay a premium price for a Stearns & Foster bed (prices start at $1,699 for a Stearns & Foster Studio, the brand’s entry level bed), you do get superb pressure relief and plush body contouring for your money.

To mark the 4th of July mattress sales, there’s $400 off select Stearns & Foster mattresses, with $300 worth of free accessories thrown in too — this adds up to $700 worth of savings. This discount means you can buy a queen size Stearns & Foster Lux Estate for $2,599 (was $2,999), which is a decent discount on a mattress of this calibre. But the Lux Estate isn’t the only bed on offer this Independence Day — here’s my pick of the three best Stearns & Foster mattress deals that are live and ready to shop now.

Stearns & Foster is a premium, luxury mattress brand that is known for its high-quality handcrafted mattresses. The brand has been in operation since 1846 and is renowned for its attention to detail with every mattress being hand-stitched and the maker signing the label once it’s complete. Stearns & Foster only use the best materials within their mattresses such as latex, advanced memory foam, cashmere, silk and wool.

Even the springs are top of the class, with their own patented coil-within-coil design that they dub The IntelliCoil. You get premium treatment from start to finish with Stearns & Foster mattresses with free white glove delivery being included in every purchase. So lets go find out the best Stearns & Foster mattresses you should buy in this years 4th of July sales.

How to choose the best luxury mattress

You can expect to pay anything between $1,000 and $5,000 for the best luxury mattresses for a standard queen size. But regardless of whether you're spending $500 or $5,000, there are certain questions you should ask yourself before buying a new mattress.Think carefully about your current sleeping situation; what sleep position do you spend most time in? Do you wake with any aches and pains? Are you a hot sleeper?

Knowing what works about your current sleep set-up will help narrow down what you are looking for in a new luxury mattress. Next, look for a mattress with a long free trial period (the Saatva, DreamCloud and Avocado Green all offer a 365 nights trial period) in order to test your mattress over a long period of time, to ensure that it is the right purchase for you.
