London’s transport network is preparing for a few disruptions as we head into the weekend.
Anyone planning to travel to the capital is being reminded that tube services could be busier than usual, and is encouraged to plan their journeys in advance.
Planned closures are affecting some Underground, Overground and DLR lines, though most TfL services are expected to operate as usual.
Thanks to London’s variety of Underground trains and buses, there are usually alternative routes available that people can check through TfL’s Plan Your Journey service.
Here are all the closures you need to be aware of.
Saturday, March 21
- Piccadilly: No trains running between Cockfosters and Uxbridge
- Elizabeth: No trains running between Whitechapel and Shenfield
- Weaver (overground): No service between Liverpool Street and Cheshunt, and between Chingford and Enfield Town
- Liberty (overground): The whole line will be closed
- DLR: Cutty Sark station is closed
- District: Eastbound trains will not stop at Barons Court until June
- Waterloo and City: closed on weekends
- Liverpool Street station is closed
Sunday, March 22
- Elizabeth: No trains running between Ealing Broadway and Sheffield/Abbey Wood until 7.45am. After 7.45am there will be no service between Paddington and Shenfield/Abbey Wood and a reduced service between Paddington and Maidenhead/Heathrow
- Weaver (overground): No service between Liverpool Street and Cheshunt, and between Chingford and Enfield Town
- Liberty (overground): The whole line will be closed
- DLR: Cutty Sark station is closed
- District: Eastbound trains will not stop at Barons Court until June
- Waterloo and City: closed on weekends
- Liverpool Street station is closed
