My favourite way to book a holiday is by opening up Skyscanner, typing in my nearest airport, popping in some dates, and hitting the “everywhere” search.
The tool has taken me everywhere from Skopje in North Macedonia to the Maldives, but not everyone is lucky enough to have a megahub like London Heathrow or Doha's Hamad International as their home base.
