Where to watch Leeds United's players in action during the September internationals

A host of Leeds United players are in action next week for their respective countries as the first international break of the 2022/23 season takes hold.

The Whites have a number of players who could be heading out to Qatar later this year for the World Cup, which means they will have to be at their best for their country in the games that proceed the tournament.

LeedsLive takes a look at which Leeds players are in action and where you can watch them...

Mateusz Klich – Poland

Mateusz Klich has been named in Poland's squad for their Nations League games against Wales and the Netherlands.

The Polish midfielder has seen his playing time at Leeds decrease this term with the arrival of Marc Roca and Tyler Adams this summer, meaning he will need to be at his best for Poland to help him nail down his spot on the plane to Qatar.

Klich's games against the Netherlands will be broadcast on BoxNation on Thursday 22nd September, with kick-off starting at 7.45pm. And the game against Wales will be broadcast on Premier Sports 1 and S4C on Sunday 25th September, with kick-off starting at 7.45pm.

Rasmus Kristensen - Denmark

Leeds United defender Rasmus Kristensen has been called up for Denmark's two Nations League ties against Croatia and France.

The right-back missed the Whites last game against Brentford with an injury, but looks to be fully fit now after being called up for Denmark. Kristensen is a key player for the Danes and will likely make their squad for Qatar later this year.

Denmark's clash against Croatia is being broadcast on Premier Sports 2 on Thursday 22nd September, with kick-off starting at 7.45pm.

And their game against the defending World Champions France is being broadcast on BoxNation on Sunday 25th September, with kick-off also starting at 7.45pm.

Brenden Aaronson and Tyler Adams - United States

American duo Brenden Aaronson and Tyler Adams have both been called-up by USMNT boss Gregg Berhalter for their international friendlies against Japan and Saudi Arabia.

The pair, who arrived at Elland Road this summer, have been two of Leeds' most important players so far this season, with both Aaronson and Adams impressing.

They will almost certainly be included in Berhalter's squad heading to Qatar later this year, where they will take on England in the group stages of the World Cup.

Aaronson and Adams game against Japan will be broadcast on ESPN 2 on Friday 23rd September, with kick-off starting at 1.25pm. However, their game against Saudi Arabia is not being shown on any UK tv channel.

Luis Sinisterra - Colombia

Colombia winger Luis Sinisterra has enjoyed a strong start to life at Elland Road following his summer move from Feyenoord.

The 23-year-old has recently been called-up to Néstor Lorenzo's first squad for their upcoming friendlies against Guatemala and Mexico.

Colombia failed to qualify for Qatar, meaning Sinisterra won't be featuring on the global stage this December.

They face off against Guatemala on Sunday 25th September before taking on Mexico on Wednesday 28th September. Both games are not being broadcast in the UK.

Diego Llorente - Spain

Diego Llorente has been called-up by Spain by boss Luis Enrique for their upcoming Nations League games against Switzerland and Portugal.

It seems as though the centre-back race for Qatar is wide open in the Spanish squad. Sergio Ramos has been mooted for a recall, while Aymeric Laporte's injury looks to have provided an opportunity for Llorente to impress.

Both of Spain's Nations League ties are being broadcast on BoxNation. Spain face Switzerland on Saturday 24th September which kick's off at 7.45pm. Their match against Portugal on Tuesday 27th September also starts at 7.45pm.

Wilfried Gnonto - Italy

Wilfried Gnonto got his latest Italy call up while in action for Leeds United's U21s on Friday night and will be hoping to feature in the Azzurri's upcoming games against England and Hungary.

Gnonto may only be 18 years old, but the teenage sensation has already made his full national team debut for Italy. In fact, the new Leeds United summer signing has played for Italy four times so far, scoring once against Germany.

Italy's first September Nations League fixture against England is being broadcast by Channel 4 on Friday 23rd September. Kick-off starts at 7.45pm.

Then on Monday 26th September, Gnonto could feature against Hungary, with that game being broadcast on Premier Sports 1 at 7.45pm.

Kristoffer Klaesson and Leo Hjelde – Norway Under-21s

While Norway have already qualified for next summer's 2023 European Under-21 Championships, both Kristoffer Klaesson and Leo Hjelde are in line to face Switzerland and Spain's U21s in friendlies this month.

The duo will face Switzerland on Saturday 24th September, before taking on Spain on Tuesday 27th September. Neither games are being broadcast on UK TV.

Charlie Cresswell - England Under-21s

Leeds defender Charlie Cresswell has been called-up by England Under-21s boss Lee Carsley ahead of the Young Lions September fixtures against Italy and Germany.

The 20-year-old has impressed so far whilst on loan at Millwall this season, and will be looking to add to the six U21 caps he has already won.

England's U21s take on Italy in Pescara on Thursday 22nd September before returning home to face Germany at Bramall Lane on Tuesday 27th September. Both games are not being broadcast on UK TV.
