It’s the film of the summer. Pink fever has gripped London and beyond, as love for all things Barbie reaches a total eclipse.
Fans who have so far subsisted on a slow drip-feed of clips for the best part of a year are finally about to settle down into cinema seats and feast on the visual banquet that is Greta Gerwig’s Barbie: The Movie.
By now, most of us know that Toyland’s most famous couple are brought to life in the live-action flick by Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as Barbie and Ken respectively. But the cast is full of familiar faces (and voices), with Dame Helen Mirren narrating and half the cast of Sex Education popping up in the candy-coloured sets.
There are also nods to fabulous limited editions as well as discontinued dolls that have fallen by the wayside over the 64 years since the very first Barbie made her manufacturing debut. Toys that you might have forgotten about (or never heard of, depending on your D.O.B) like the Chelsea Treehouse have been spotted in behind-the-scenes trailers, alongside full-cale versions of the iconic doll’s signature settings and accessories - think Barbie’s Dreamhouse, her pink jet and even her bubblegum pink Corvette, complete with Barbie licence plates.
There are also a variety of Ken dolls, displaying various degrees of Kenergy, and his almost-forgotten friend Allan, who never really had his moment in the sun - until now.
We’ve found the best ones showcased in the big screen production below. There are a few discontinued dolls we’ve managed to find on reselling sites as well as replicas from the movie made by Mattel.
Scroll right the way to the end of the list to find playsets like the Barbie Dreamhouse, Space Station, Corvette and more to bring your collection or playtime to life.

Barbie Happy Family Pregnant Midge & Baby Purple Gown 2002
Discontinued in 2005, Midge was one of the more controversial ideas on Mattel’s ideas flipboard.
Part of the ‘Happy Family’ range, the doll was sold as nine months pregnant with a tiny baby doll hidden under her removable belly. Some concerns were raised that the doll, believed to be the same age as her BFF Barbie at 19, would promote teen pregnancy, which led Mattel to pull it from shelves.
There are still a few pristine boxed versions doing the rounds on resale sites like eBay, but be prepared to fork out for it - especially with Emerald Fennell making her big screen appearance as Midge.
One for die-hard collectors.
