Where the Premier League trophy will be on final day of the season

The Premier League will have presentation teams at both the Etihad and Anfield for the final day of the league season on Sunday.

Both Liverpool and Manchester City remain in contention for the prize as just a single point separates the two in the table. Although, Pep Guardiola's side have the advantage heading into the final round of fixtures.

The Reds will welcome Wolves to Anfield on Sunday, while City will face Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa at the exact same time. Liverpool will need their rivals to drop points if they're to lift the trophy this weekend.

The Telegraph has revealed that the league's chief executive Richard Masters will be at the Etihad with the genuine trophy, while interim chairman Peter McCormick will be at Anfield with a replica.

A presentation team, events staff and contractors will be on hand at both grounds with a set of 40 blank medals. The same occurred in the 2018/19 season when it went down to the final day.

The league had representatives at both Anfield and the Amex, but on that occasion it was City who went on to lift the title after beating Brighton 4-1. Liverpool did all they could by beating Wolves, but it wasn't enough as they were pipped to the trophy by a single point.

Later this month, Jurgen Klopp 's side will travel to Paris to face Real Madrid in the Champions League final. They've already secured two trophies this season in the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.
