Who can forget the iconic suburban family TV show At Home With The Braithwaites?
The ITV series began in January 2000 and told the story of a Leeds family who went from a normal working class family to millionaires. Their life turned upside down when mum of the family, Alison Braithwaite, won a whopping £38 million.
While the winnings should have been success, each member of the dysfunctional family were tackling issues which ultimately meant the lottery didn't offer a happiness jackpot. The show was written by Happy Valley creator Sally Wainwright. Fans enjoyed 26 episodes of the series before it ended in April 2003.
20 years on, some fans may be wondering what the cast got up to following the show. Here's a closer look at where they are now from.
Alison Braithwaite - Amanda Redman
Alison was the matriarch of the family, in the very first episode she was seen struggling to keep her family together. Mrs Braithwaite initially tried to keep quiet about her £38million win, but her secret was soon rumbled when one her relatives found out about her windfall.
It was later discovered that her youngest daughter Charlotte had purchased the winning ticket and nearly lost the dough. She did manage to get it all back, luckily, but it soon proved that money can't buy happiness.
Actress Amanda Redman MBE, who was born in Sussex, is now probably best known for playing detective superintendent Sandra Pullman on New Tricks or and as Dr. Lydia Fonseca in Good Karma Hospital. During her training, Redman trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre and was in the same class as Daniel Day-Lewis and Miranda Richardson.
She was nominated for a BAFTA TV Award for her role as Alison in At Home With The Braithwaites. She has also starred in Mike Bassett: Manager, Honest and Channel 4's For You. Aside from work life, Amanda is married to Damian Schnabel and has a daughter named Emily with her ex husband.
David Braithwaite - Peter Davison
71-year-old Peter Davison played the father of the Braithwaite family. His character was having an affair with Elaine, his secretary when the series began. He soon realised the error of his ways when he discovered the wife, was secretly loaded.
David's selfish ways only got worse as the show went on and he later divorced Alison and claimed half the winnings even though she'd been using the money for charitable purposes. By the end of the series, the two managed to patch things up, in a fashion.
Before At Home With The Braithwaites, Peter starred in Holding the Fort and Sink or Swim. He went on to have great success after the show finished. He secured roles on shows such as Midsomer Murders and Miranda. The actor also starred in the fifth incarnation of the Dr in Dr Who or for his role as Henry Sharpe in Law & Order: UK from 2011 to 2014.
Other roles include Death in Paradise, Lewis, Vera, Gentleman Jack and Call the Midwife.
Sarah Braithwaite - Sarah Churm
The middle child in the family, Sarah, initially had big dreams of becoming an actress. But she was forced to give up on her aspirations when she accidentally got pregnant with next-door neighbour, Phil.
Sarah and Phil tied the knot but the new mum later had second thoughts after saying 'I do'. Actress Sarah Churm went on to star in the smash hit film Weekend alongside Tom Cullen.
The 46-year-old also starred in Channel 4's Utopia in 2013 as well as landing roles in Doctors and Holby City. She also appeared in a stage adaptation of the popular book The Story of Tracy Beaker by Jacqueline Wilson called Tracy Beaker Gets Real.
Virginia Braithwaite - Sarah Smart
Virginia was the troublesome, foul-mouthed eldest daughter who could barely finish a sentence without swearing. The lottery win came in very handy for the brunette as she'd just been kicked out of university.
Virginia had a difficult relationship with her father who she appeared to pretty much hate. After coming out as a lesbian to her family, she finally made next-door neighbour Megan her girlfriend - for a short while at least.
Actress Sarah started out as a child actress in Woof. After he role as Virginia, the 46-year-old starred in Wallander, Midsomer Murders, Doctor Who and The Rebel Flesh and The Almost People.
She has disappeared from the limelight, with her last TV appearance reported as being in 2017.
Megan Hartnoll - Julie Graham
The Braithwaite's next-door neighbour, Megan, would stop at nothing to get her hands on their money. With her eyes on the prize, she first manipulated Virginia before moving onto dad, David.
The Scottish actress' character was killed off in season four when a TV fell into the bathtub and she was electrocuted. Since leaving At Home with the Braithwaites, actress Julie Graham has appeared in everything from New Tricks to The Bill, Between the Sheets, and William and Mary.
The 57-year-old, who has two children and is married to Davy Croket, has also performed a number of film roles. She has starred in The Fruit Machine, Silent Scream, Nuns on the Run, The Big Man, The Near Room, Preaching to the Perverted, Bedrooms and Hallways, Some Voices, and Rosebud.
Mike Hartnoll - Kevin Doyle
Mike was Megan's husband who was oblivious to the fact she was playing away.
However, he also had eyes for someone else, he made his feelings for Alison clear and would do pretty much anything to please her. But despite his best efforts, his feelings were never reciprocated as Alison didn't feel the same way.
Since the show ended actor Kevin Doyle, from Scunthorpe, has cropped up all over people's televisions. The 62-year-old actor is probably best known as DS John Wadsworth on Happy Valley, or as Joseph Molesley on Downton Abbey. He has also appeared in New Tricks, Scott & Bailey and The Tudors.
