The Harry Potter franchise is arguably one of the most famous ones out there.
Generations after generations of people are sitting down to watch the movies for the first time - or for the 50th time - with the films continuing to stand the rest of time.
The talented actors are also still making headlines with the main trio, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, brining new characters to life away from Hogwarts.

But with Harry, Ron and Hermione no longer attending the school for witchcraft and wizardry, what are they, and the rest of the cast, doing today?
What the cats of Harry Potter have starred in since leaving the films
- Daniel Radcliffe
Making up one third of the famous trio, Daniel has gone onto star in several films such as Walter Mabry in Now You See me, Nate Foster in Imperium and Arthur Kipps in Woman in Black.
- Rupert Grint
The Harry Potter star welcomed his daughter, Wednesday G Grint, with fellow actor Georgia Groome in May 2020 who is best known for Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging. In terms of acting, Rupert has since starred in Apple TV+ show Servant and most recently he has starred in the Netflix series, Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities as Walter Gilman.
- Emma Watson
The last of the main trio is Emma who has had a number of roles since her Harry Potter days. She has since starred in The Bling Ring, The Circle, Beauty and the Beast as Belle as well as Little Women playing Meg March. Much of her career now focuses on activism speaking out about important issues such as mental health and Transgender rights.
- Matthew Lewis
Neville Longbottom was - and still is - another iconic character with him having helped defeated The One Who Must Not Be Named. Since leaving he has starred in Me Before You, the television series The Syndicate as well as All Creatures Great and Small.
- Tom Felton
Playing the role of Draco Malfoy, Tom Felton has gone onto roles such as Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Netflix's A Babysitter's Guide to Monster Hunting and made a debut appearance in the West End in A Ghost Story at the Criterion Theatre.
- Robert Pattinson
We all remember the sad scene where Cedric Diggory died. But it's not all bad as the actor went onto big things after - his appearance with him best known of course for the Twilight series playing Edward Cullen. He is also now known for his role as Batman .
- Alfred Enoch
Dean Thomas is a character that many people loved throughout and now the actor has since starred in a number of roles such as Romeo in the West End and most notably, Wes Gibbins in How to Get Away With Murder which to this day is a big hit on Netflix.
- Bonnie Wright
Known for her role as Ginny Weasley, she has gone onto star in A Christmas Carol as well as After the Dark. She, like Emma, is known for her activism work too with the environment being one of her passions.
- Julie Walters
Whilst we all know and love Walter for her iconic role as Mrs. Molly Weasley. Since then she has gone onto many other great roles including Rosie in Mama Mia!, Mrs. Bird in Paddington as well as Mrs. Medlock in the 2020 version of The Secret Garden.
Harry Potter actors who have died
We have also lost a number of brilliant actors such as the lovely Robbie Coltrane and just recently, Leslie Phillips who voiced the Sorting Hat.
Other actors who have passed away include Alan Rickman who played Snape, Helen McCrory who played Narcissa Malfoy as well as John Hurt who we all know as their role of Mr Ollivander.
