The Cleveland Browns and the other 31 teams all have their initial 53-man rosters set and ready to go. These are written in pencil, however, as every team can then put in waiver claims on other players who were cut around the league.
A year ago, the Browns received just one player off of the waiver wire, picking up cornerback Kahlef Hailassie. Waiver wire transactions will be processed at noon on Wednesday, so we should get news relatively soon. Each team, based on their 2023 record is prioritized on the waiver wire and the team at the top can claim as many players as they want.
This means if the Browns like a player and put a claim in on him, but the Carolina Panthers also put a claim in on him, he would be heading to the NFC East. So where do the Browns, a team that used to frequently find themselves at the top of waiver wire priority, sit in priority this summer?
