Kelce made an immediate contribution, catching a 48-yard pass from Patrick Mahomes on the Chiefs' first offensive snap. He later added an 11-yard touchdown with 2:55 remaining.
Swift, meanwhile, was having one of the biggest VMA nights of her career. She received the inaugural MTV VMA Artist Director Honors and added two competitive awards, taking her career total to a record 33 wins.
Travis Kelce's Chiefs Schedule Clashed With the VMAs
The timing of the two events clearly explains Travis Kelce's absence. Kansas City played in Miami Gardens on Sunday afternoon, while the VMAs took place in Los Angeles later that evening.
