Travis Kelce missed the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday because the Kansas City Chiefs were playing in Florida that same day. Kelce started against the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens on 27 September.

Hours later, his wife, Taylor Swift, attended the VMAs at the Peacock Theatre without him. The news came after Kansas City defeated Miami 24-10, improving to 3-0.
