It's all change on Love Island for 2022 with a new villa for the new series.
Millions of viewers settled down on their sofas on Monday, June 6 to watch the launch of the ITV2 show's 2022 run, with presenter Laura Whitmore welcoming this year's Love Island contestants into the villa. And they will be the first people to experience the luxurious new filming location for the show.
In the past, apart from at the start of 2020 when Winter Love Island was held in South Africa, the Love Island villa has always been the Majorcan town of Ses Salines. The area where the original villa was built is rather remote and approximately 30 minutes from the popular resort of Cala d’Or and nearly an hour from party hotspot Magaluf.

The old Love Island villa and of course its infamous neighbour Casa Amor have been the centre of plenty of drama over the past seven years, but now a new villa has opened its doors to whatever Love Island 2022 will bring.
Where is the new Love Island villa?
Love Island's new villa is in Sant Llorenc des Cardassar in Majorca. Sant Llorenc des Cardassar is just under one hour's drive away from capital city Palma to the west, and Alcudia in the north.
The giant bedroom is on the ground floor of the new villa and has a selection of double beds. In previous series, the beds were all set out in rows but this year they're facing each other for a more communal feel. The new villa has also brought back “the dog house” – a foldout bed in the living room, where islanders who find themselves on the wrong side of their partner may need to spend the night thinking about what they've done.
The girls’ dressing room leads out to the enclosed sun terrace which has an incredible view of the infinity pool and in-water sun loungers. A pop art theme and eye-catching neon lights feature all over the villa and a rose-gold kitchen has been installed outside.
The garden has seating areas done out in yellow, blue and pink so there are plenty of places to sit down and chat. And of course, the villa would not be complete without the fire pit!
