The Queen is to be buried in St George’s Chapel in Windsor on Monday evening following the state funeral. She will have a committal service in the chapel, before being laid to rest.
Beforehand, at Wellington Arch, the Queen’s coffin was transferred from the gun carriage to the state hearse. The final part of the journey was from central London to Windsor.
The final part of the procession’s route from Shaw Farm Gate in Windsor was expected to be on foot, up Windsor Castle’s famous three-mile Long Walk. The coffin was set to arrive at St George’s Chapel at 4pm.
