Liveline host Joe Duffy appears to be taking a break from his radio show to film another series of The Meaning of Life.

The Star has learned Joe is busy doing another project, with speculation he is filming another series of The Meaning of Life.

The new series will air later this autumn.

"The Meaning of Life has been a huge success and Joe is looking forward to revealing who his guests are this season," said a TV insider.

Joe took over the show as it’s host from the late Gay Byrne in 2020 and has already spoken to the likes of Blindboy Boatclub, Vicky Phelan, Mary Lou McDonald, Harry Crosbie, Nathan Carter, and Catherine Corless about their life experiences and beliefs.

In the past, The Meaning of Life, originally hosted by the late Gay Byrne, saw monumental interview moments with celebrities like Stephen Fry, Sinead O’Connor, Deepak Chopra, Richard Branson, and Bob Geldof.

One interview, in particular, that stood out to RTE viewers in 2020 was Joe Duffy’s discussion with cervical cancer campaigner Vicky Phelan.

The mother of two spoke to Joe on The Meaning of Life about her terminal cancer diagnosis in 2017 and her mental health.

Another moment was Nathan Carter’s revelation that he battled booze and depression during the Covid-19 lockdown.
