BBC drama Happy Valley has finally returned to our screens for another series.
Sergeant Catherine Cawood , played by Oldham's very own Sarah Lancashire is back after discovering the remains of a gangland murder victim in a drained reservoir. The findings set off a chain of events and lead her to Tommy Lee Royce, the man who raped her daughter.
Meanwhile, Catherine's grandson Ryan is now sixteen and is starting to question what kind of relationship he should have with his father. The popular drama series - which was watched by more viewers than Prince Harry's ITV interview earlier this month - is set in Yorkshire.

But it's actually filmed across different parts of country, with one location right here in Greater Manchester. The experts at YorkshireLive have been working out where many of the scenes - both inside and outside - are actually filmed.
Here is a round-up of the places we know so far... and beware, there are spoilers below!
The café - filmed in Greater Manchester
It all kicked off again last Sunday night (January 15), when the café scene unfolded. Catherine confronted her sister Clare over the devastating discovery that she had been helping her grandson Ryan visit his father behind bars.
Catherine trailed her sister and her boyfriend Neil as they were heading to Sheffield Prison. But when Clare headed to sit in a local café, Catherine seized the moment to confront her about the duplicity - and fans were loving the drama.
The café in question is in fact Amico café on Corporation Street in Bolton. Staff at the family-run business have now created a "Happy Valley sandwich" in honour of the show.
It didn't take long for viewers to spot the popular Greater Manchester haunt on TV either, with many taking to Twitter to share their excitement. @MancJules said: "Funny seeing Bolton doubling for Sheffield on Happy Valley. Even funnier seeing they’ve filmed at a favourite coffee shop" while @niamh_hardman said: "well Clare wasn’t out for a day in Leeds but she also definitely wasn’t in Sheffield… because that’s Bolton #HappyValley
@thejessica_day added: "A blue plaque needs to go up outside that cafe in Bolton. #HappyValley" and @bigrobster said: "Here I am looking for places I recognise in Sheffield and it’s actually Bolton #HappyValley".
More cafés
In an earlier episode, Catherine spills the beans about the Knezevic crime family to freelance journalist and ex-husband Richard (Derek Riddle) at Knead Pizzeria and Cafe, Crossley Street. It's a couple of doors down from Halifax Town Hall.
Abused wife and addict Joanna Hepworth broaches her plan to whack her teacher husband Rob to bent chemist Faisal Bhatti (Amit Shah) at this old school, wood-panelled caff. The Shay Cafe in Hunger Hill, Halifax, plays 'Bell Street Cafe'.
New police station
This isn't the old nick from the first two series but the postwar one in series three. Halifax's former swimming pool and leisure centre, on Skircoat Road, on the edge of Halifax town centre, plays its part.
Murderer and rapist Tommy Royce (James Norton) is taken in for questioning about the murder of Gary Gackowski via the rear vehicular entrance on Clare Road.
HMP Sheffield
The decommissioned HMP Shrewsbury in Shropshire is where the scenes inside HMP Sheffield are filmed. Fans of the BBC prison drama Time, starring Sean Bean, may recognise it.
However, the external scene where Neil (Con O'Neill) takes Ryan to see Tommy Royce (James Norton) is the outside of HMP Wakefield, aka Monster Mansion.
The dispensary
This was filmed in Huddersfield Piazza; there's a long shot across Huddersfield before the main scene. Pharmacist-cum-dealer Faisal and his addict punter and paramour Joanna take an uncomfortable stroll in a nearby park, which is Greenhead Park, Huddersfield, in the following scene.
Faisal's pharmacy
Dodgy chemist Faisal Bhatti, who has been selling stolen prescription drugs, including to his neighbour, works at 'Brooksbank Pharmacy'. An end terrace on Albert Street, Elland, plays its part for external shots.
Tower block
Catherine spots fresh-out-of-prison Alison Garrs (Susan Lynch) – she shot her killer son to spare him the torment of prison in series two – while investigating a suspected suicide in a tower block. Catherine spots Alison on Brooksbank Gardens, Elland. It's just behind Faisal's pharmacy.
The scene inside Alison's flat is filmed in Talbot House high-rise flats behind Brooksbank Gardens.
The Hepworths' house
This modern home on a well-to-do estate overlooking a lush valley is where sedative addict Joanna, her abusive teacher husband Rob and their children live. The real location is Stones Drive, Ripponden, which enjoys views across the Ryburn Valley.
Pharmacist-cum-drug dealer Faisal lives just up the street. The snicket he is seen sneaking down runs parallel to Stones Drive.
Cobbled 'Sheffield' Street
Ackroyd Place, Halifax, stood in for this street. The eagle-eyed among you will have noticed the TGI Friday's and the ambulance station in the background. Again this will be confusing to anyone familiar with Sheffield.
Clare and Neil's house
The home of recovering alcoholics Clare and Neil Ackroyd (Con O'Neill) is in Hangingroyd Road, Hebden Bridge. The photo above shows Sarah Lancashire and Rhys Connah, who plays Catherin'es grandson Ryan, rehearsing a scene outside Clare and Neil's house.
Ann Gallagher's house
Multimillionaire Nevison Gallagher (George Costigan) comforts his daughter Ann (Charlie Murphy) – another of Tommy Royce's victims – in the garden of this historic-looking hall. The hall in question is Upper Headley Hall, a grade I-listed Elizabethan hall, in Thornton, Bradford.
The hall, off Headley Lane, was built around 1589 for the Midgley family. A big thanks to readers Peter Grant and Laura B for spotting it.
The Knezevics' house
Gangsters Ivan (Oliver Huntingdon) and Matija (Jack Bandeira) receive an order from Viktor (Anthony Flanagan) to whack their subordinate Josip Matic (Anthony Skrimshire) before the police capture him. The scene takes place in a house in Woodside Terrace, Boothtown.
Before the raid, you can see a police van carrying Catherine and her constables park in an alley opposite, in Bath Place (pictured above). Catherine nicks Josip in Bath Place while Ivan and Matija watch in horror from the end of the street.
Maira and Anisha's school
The daughters of bent pharmacist Faisal Bhatti go to a posh-looking school in a leafy area. Maira and Anisha's school is played by Rishworth School, a private fee-paying school in Oldham Road, Rishworth in Calderdale, West Yorkshire.
Ryan's School
Catherine's grandson Ryan berates his useless defence during a school football match on playing fields next to his school. The modern high school is Ryburn Valley High School, Sowerby.
The pitch, where PE teaching thug Rob Hepworth and Ryan square up, is next to it.
Baitings Dam
Baitings Dam is a genuine reservoir in the Pennines above Ripponden. The scene, where the body of Gary Gackowski is found, is called 'Baitings' in the episode but it appears to be a quarry somewhere else.
An alley to the rear of Hangingroyd Lane makes a reappearance as the outside of Sgt Cawood's house. It's where Catherine and her sister Clare chew the fat over wine and cigarettes.
