Thousands of Eurovision fans descended on Liverpool to watch the popular song contest's final on Saturday - but where will it be held next year?
Generally, the country that wins Eurovision will host the event the following year unless the winning country is unable to do so. Last year, Kalush Orchestra of Ukraine won the trophy.
However, the contest could not be staged in Ukraine due to the ongoing war with Russian. Therefore, the UK, which came in second in 2022, staged the competition this year.

The 2023 winner is Loreen of Sweden, who was presented her trophy at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool on Saturday. The singer made history as the first woman to win the contest twice.
This means the competition will take place in Sweden in 2024 - the home nation of Eurovision legends Abba. And next year will also be the 50th anniversary of Abba winning the song contest.
It was in 1974 that Abba famously won Eurovision with their hit number Waterloo. The Swedish quartet of Agnetha, Benny, Bjorn and Anni-Frid went on to achieve global stardom.
It is not yet known where in Sweden the contest will be held - in previous years the country has hosted, it has been in cities Stockholm, Malmo and Gothenburg.
