Liz Truss has been announced as the new UK Prime Minister, after a long summer spent slogging it out with Rishi Sunak.
Despite a blunder-strewn leadership campaign, the former Foreign Secretary has succeeded Boris Johnson at No. 10 Downing Street.
Her long climb to the top comes after she called Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon an "attention seeker" and was skewered by debate host Kay Burley on her history of U-turns on issues like the monarchy and Brexit.
She has also clashed bitterly with Sunak, former Chancellor of the Exchequer, on economic policy since announcing she would stand.
While she will now hold the keys to Downing Street, Truss has been living in her constituency of South West Norfolk with her husband of 22 years Hugh O’Leary and daughters Liberty and Frances when she's not in London.
Where does Liz Truss live?
The 47-year-old Cabinet member mainly lives with her family in a three-bedroom detached home in the market town of Thetford, located in the Breckland district of Norfolk.
They have lived in their countryside abode, around 30 miles from Norwich, since 2010 after reportedly purchasing the property for just £180,000.
The family moved there a few years after Truss' 18-month affair with then-Tory MP Mark Field, which ended in June 2005.
The property is now thought worth more than £250,000 following a ground floor extension in 2017, The Express reported.
Detached properties in Thetford have sold for an average of around £336,500 over the past 12 months, according to Rightmove.
Liz Truss' Chevening House
Truss' previous role as Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs meant she had access to the government's grace-and-favour mansion Chevening House.
The 3,000-acre Kent countryside mansion in Chevening, near Sevenoaks, boasts 115 rooms and gardens including a lake, maze, parterre and a double hexagonal walled kitchen garden.
While officially used by the Foreign Secretary for business meetings, Truss is said to have shared access to the stately home with Dominic Raab since she replaced him in the role last September.
This means she can't use the Grade-I listed property all the time.
Does Liz Truss have a home in London?
Truss divides her time between Norfolk and a second property in London, though it is not known exactly where that is.
If she wins the race to be the next PM, she and her family could relocate to Downing Street, where they would have the option of moving to either No10 or No11.
