This past offseason, New York Giants hired Brian Daboll as their new head coach in hopes of lighting a fire under quarterback Daniel Jones, the No. 6 overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft who has underperformed his first three seasons.
Many experts believe Daboll, the man who is largely responsible for making Josh Allen a superstar in Buffalo while serving as offensive coordinator, can turn Jones into a weapon with the Giants.
In a recent exercise on NBC Sports, analyst Ahmed Fareed compiled a list of coach/quarterback combinations, ranking them according to cohesiveness and toughness. Daboll and Jones came in 14th on the list.

Daboll has already made an impression on Jones, it seems, and Giants fans are eager to see his influence on the former Duke star. Jones will also have a new offensive coordinator in Mike Kafka and a new quarterbacks coach in Shea Tierney.
Kafka most recently served as Patrick Mahomes’ QB coach in Kansas City while Tierney worked under Daboll in Buffalo the past two seasons.
