The Queen's Platinum Jubilee is almost here and many people will be marking the festive four-day event. The momentous occasion marks 70 years since Her Majesty's accession and is being celebrated with an extra bank holiday on Friday, June 3.
The spring bank holiday, which usually lands on the last Monday in May, has been moved to Thursday, June 2. It means the UK gets an unexpected, long weekend.
From public events to street parties or just a get-together in the garden, many people will be marking the unprecedented anniversary. A big part of these celebrations is the decorations, with Jubilee bunting proving a popular choice.

With just one day to go until the celebrations officially start, many decorations are now sold out online at supermarkets, and bunting is proving pretty hard to pin down. Morrisons has sold out of its popular Jubilee Party In A Box kit online, with many customers reporting struggles finding bunting in stores, too. Meanwhile, B&M has also sold out of Jubilee decorations in the majority of its Welsh stores.
There are still some options available, however, to both those heading to the stores and online. Poundland has confirmed that their jubilee-themed party range is selling out fast, however, you might still find some products in stores.
The budget retailer is selling street party essentials such as Union Jack paper plates and cups, crown design plates and cups and cupcake cases. A spokesman said: "Poundland customers always love a good party and they’re going to make the most of the extended bank holiday weekend and celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in style."
Another option is Tesco's bunting, and while it's not Jubilee-themed, the bright coloured decorations would easily spruce up any party space. The bunting costs just £3.50 for five metres and what's more, can be used for different occasions after the Jubilee.
If your party is on the weekend, however, then you might still have some luck online. Ocado still has delivery slots available so you can add some bunting into your weekly food shop.
At the time of writing, one option still available is the Marks and Spencer Platinum Jubilee Bunting which features Union Jack colours and an image of the Queen's Crown. It costs just £2.50 for three metres.
There are also some next-day delivery options on Amazon, options include Union Jack bunting, the Queen's Crown bunting, and 10-metre decorations for larger spaces. For more what's on and shopping stories from WalesOnline, you can get our newsletter here.
