The Cincinnati Bengals lost another heartbreaker Thursday against the Ravens, falling to 4-6. The silver lining is that a handful of other AFC playoff contenders also lost in Week 10.
So even at 4-6, the Bengals still only find themselves just one game back in the AFC playoff picture. The division is already starting to get away from them after Pittsburgh also got to seven wins with their 28-27 victory over the Washington Commanders.
Current AFC North standings
1. Pittsburgh Steelers 7-2
2. Baltimore Ravens 7-3
3. Cincinnati Bengals 4-6
4. Cleveland Browns 2-7
As far as the wild card goes, a blocked field goal on what was thought to be a chip shot sunk the Denver Broncos in their upset bid of the Kansas City Chiefs. As a result, the Broncos fell to 5-5.
Elsewhere, the Indianapolis Colts continued their offensive struggles despite the switch to Joe Flacco. A 30-20 loss to the Buffalo Bills dropped the Colts to 4-6.
The Broncos, Colts and Bengals all currently sit with four conference losses. This could be a tight race right down to the end.
The Bengals do also have a chance next Sunday night to close the gap on the current No. 6 seed in the AFC, the 6-3 Los Angeles Chargers.
