At 5-6 and with no help on the way, the Cincinnati Bengals look like a team that could be pushing for a top-flight draft pick in the 2024 NFL draft.
As noted by the standings at Tankathon though, the Bengals currently hold the 15th spot in the 2024 order.
But the order is messy, to say the least. The Bengals are one of five teams with just five wins. In front of them in the order? Seven teams with just four wins.
By that same messy measure, one look at the AFC playoff standings shows the same thing. The Bengals are far, far down the standings there, but five of their six remaining opponents are from the conference.
Barring a dramatic turnaround, it’s safe to suggest the Bengals will keep climbing the draft order, not the playoff seeding rankings — but there is indeed quite a bit of season left.
