The much-anticipated new season of Waterloo Road began this week, with a couple of old faces rejoining the cast.
Original stars Angela Griffin and Adam Thomas reprised their roles in the hit BBC One show as Kim Campbell and Donte Charles respectively, but the series also has a new headteacher and students.
The series first hit our screens back in 2006. There were ten seasons before the show took a nine-year break, only to come back last year.
But where are the other originals of Waterloo Road? Here is all we know:
Jason Merrells
Jason Merrells played the original headteacher, Jack Rimmer, and left in 2008 after the first series.
He continued his acting career, however, both on screen and on stage. He played Declan Macey in Emmerdale for four years and also has appeared in Happy Valley alongside Sarah Lancashire, Midsomer Murders and Death in Paradise.
He also appeared in How the Other Half Loves in the West End alongside Tamzin Outhwaite.
Jason married his first wife Judith Hurley in 1991, but the pair divorced in 1999. He then wed Zerlina Hughes in 2002, but their marriage ended in 2010.
Denise Welch
Denise Welch played Head of French Steph Haydock through series one to six, but now is known for being a Loose Woman on the daytime chat show.
She also appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, winning the series in 2012, and has appeared in soaps Coronation Street and Hollyoaks.
She split from husband Tim Healy, who is dad to their two sons, including The 1975's Matt Healy, and found love again with Lincoln Townley in the same year, going on to tie the knot in 2013.
She has spoken publicly about her battle with alcohol and has been sober for twelve years.
Chelsee Healey
Chelsee Healey played pupil Janeece Bryant from series one to four. The character also returned later to play the school secretary.
She has also appeared on Hollyoaks as Goldie McQueen and appeared on Strictly Come Dancing.
Off-screen, Chelsee's personal life flourished too; she became a mum to her daughter Coco in 2017 and recently, in 2023, welcomed another daughter named Cookie.
Jill Halfpenny
Jill Halfpenny played Izzie Redpath, the passionate Head of Drama, whose time on the series came to a tragic and shocking end when her character died in series two.
She then went on to play parts in Mount Pleasant, Wild At Heart, BBC's Babylon and, most recently, Channel 5's The Cuckoo.
Jill married fellow actor Craig Conway in 2007 and they had a little boy named Harvey.
However, their marriage ended in divorce in 2010. Jill went on to find love again with partner Matt Janes, but in 2017, he passed away unexpectedly due to a heart attack.
