Last week, Queen Elizabeth II was laid to rest in King George VI Memorial Chapel, located in St George’s Chapel in the grounds of Windsor Castle, on Monday, September 19.
Hundreds of thousands of people queued up to see her lying in state in Westminster Hall, while millions of people tuned in to watch her funeral at Westminster Abbey.
Her final memorial service in Windsor was a more private affair, meaning that it was closed to the public.
However, Windsor Castle will soon reopen to the public when many mourners are expected to visit St George’s Chapel to pay their respects to the late queen.
